Old Pulteney WK209

by Oliver Klimek on January 21, 2011

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Bright Amber
Nose: Raisins, dried figs, orange marmalade and honey underlined by a hint of rubber that fades away with time.
Palate: Mixed dried fruit (apricots, raisins, figs), oranges, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Finish: Long, fruity and slightly spicy.
Overall: A very nice expression centered around dried fruits and mild spices but it’s not not the maritime style you might expect from this distillery. No need to add water.

Rating: 84/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money ????

Free Sample provided by Pulteney Distillery via Alembic Comms. Ltd.

Note: This bottle is not on sale yet. I don’t know the exact release price yet, the value information will be added when I know it.
