Caperdonich 1972 37 yo Duncan Taylor

by Oliver Klimek on January 4, 2011

From “The Octave” range – Cask 7416 – 55.6%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Bright amber
Nose: Tropical fruit cocktail, honey, vanilla, hints of polished wood and just a trace of eucalyptus.
Palate: Honey, vanilla, dried banana, hints of pineapple, a touch of fresh herbs and a little chili pepper.
Finish: Long, slightly fruity and spicy.
Overall: A very good malt with a rich and slightly waxy mouthfeel. The nose is dominated by fruit while the palate is on the spicier side. It delivers a pretty vibrant performance for its age.

Rating: 86/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
