Aldi 2010 Christmas offer – Highland Single Malt – 40%
My Tasting Notes:
Nose: Quite perfumy, raisins, polished wood, hints of cinnamon.
Palate: Very floral and slightly soapy with some lemon, apples and raisins.
Finish: Medium long and floral.
Overall: This is a typical “You get what you pay for” supermarket malt. It’s not really bad but the floral notes are much too dominant for an enjoyable older malt.
