My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Bright amber
Nose: Sausage on a stick over a bonfire on the beach with some tyres thrown in.
Palate: Peat, smoked ham, hints of cherries and blackberries, slightly salty.
Finish: Long, smoky and slightly fruity.
Overall: The sherry is well noticeable and is taming the rough distillery character a little. Quite smooth on the palate despite the 48% and not as medicinal as the 10 yo.
Rating: 87/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
