My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Straw
Nose: Bacon, vanilla, lemon, hints of cloves and sea spray.
Palate: Moderate peat, mixed citrus fruits, banana, vanilla and a little honey .
Finish: Long and smoky.
Overall: A well-balanced Islay malt with enjoyable fruit notes. Much has been guessed about its provenance, but I wouldn’t be surprised, if the name proved to be the strongest hint.
Rating: 85/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
