My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Dark gold
Nose: Pineapple, green apples, nuts, just a whiff of fresh, smoky sea air.
Palate: Very gentle peat, mixed fresh fruits, vanilla, caramel, very mild spices.
Finish: Long and fruity.
Overall: This legendary bottling is now traded at very high prices. Don’t excpect anything like the modern peat bombs Ardbeg currently offers. A very nice dram, light, fruity and fresh, but definitely not worth today’s prices.

I really like this one. It’s sort of a refreshing Ardbeg, something different and unexpected and I think the flavors come together quite well, though you are certainly right that the price is too high.
