Bourbon Hogshead 7307 – 57.6%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Straw
Nose: Lemon, banana, sea spray, smoked ham after adding water.
Palate: Banana, pineapple, smoked ham with a pinch of salt and mild spices.
Finish: Very long, fruity and smoky.
Overall: This is a very unusual Laphroaig as it displays almost none of the medicinal notes that the distillery is so well known for. But it’s a very high quality malt with a lot going on in the nose and on the palate.
Rating: 89/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
