My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Pale straw
Nose: A fresh sea breeze, bacon sizzling in a pan over a camp fire, a hint of lemon.
Palate: Peat, lemon zest, cloves, hints of pepper.
Finish: Long and smoky.
Overall: The tasting notes may look pretty generic, but this is an excellent example of a typical young Islay malt. Adding water shifts the flavours towards the spices. A brilliant whisky.
