Bunnahabhain 1974/2009 A.D. Rattray

by Oliver Klimek on November 27, 2010

Bourbon Cask #7111 – 44.3%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Pale straw
Nose: Pineapple, vanilla, coconut, needs a few minutes to develop.
Palate: Pineapple, coconut, porridge, slighly earthy.
Finish: Medium long, smooth and slighty fruity.
Overall: Light and gentle but yet pretty complex. You need to give this dram some time, but it turns out to be very enjoyable. The high age of this malt as well as the Islay provenance are not really noticaeable.

Rating: 84/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
