Blanton’s Gold

by Oliver Klimek on November 3, 2010

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Dark reddish amber
Nose: Caramel, vanilla, apricot, leather, old oak.
Palate: Apricot, peach, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, quite peppery with a little water.
Finish: Long, dry and warming.
Overall: It has about the ugliest bottle you can imagine, but this is a really fine bourbon. Very complex with a great balance of fruit, sugar and spice.

Rating: 85/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
