Mystery Malt from Islay – 58%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Bright gold
Nose: Smoke on the water, fire in the hospital.
Palate: Very strong peat, lemon zest, cloves, nutmeg, slightly adstringent.
Finish: Long, dry and smoky.
Overall: If you like Laphroaig, you will like this one too. A young and heavy peat bomb that takes no prisoners. But beware, the next batch just might come from somewhere else. And it’s not cheaper than the Laph 10 CS
