My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Dark amber
Nose: Very strong, prunes in Armagnac, tropical fruit, a faint hint of tobacco.
Palate: Prunes, tea, hints of banana and pineapple, nutmeg, oak tannins.
Finish: Very long, dry and fruity.
Overall: The terrific sherry nose is almost matched by the very complex palate. But 43% ABV just a little too weak fo this malt. Rather dry but not overly woody for its high age.

Good value for money – like most G&M’s
I agree, but it is certainly not a true bargain. OK, for a 30 years old it is really cheap. But it is by no means “12 years better” than for example the Macallan 18 which I prefer a little over the this Strathisla.
