New spirit from the Isle of Lewis – Cask 03/2010 – 40%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Amber
Nose: Pears, apples, hints of hay and porridge.
Palate: Pears, caramel, very smooth with a faint maritime touch.
Finish: Medium long and fruity, minimally smoky at the end.
Overall: Like many newmakes this reminds me more of a fruit brandy than a whisky. It is actually quite sippable, if you don’t expect a peaty island malt. It is certain is worth watching its maturation progress.
Rating: 64/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

The distillery is on the Isle of Lewis, not Harris, hence The Spirit of Lewis. The islands are land bridged and it is a common mistake if you came off the ferry in Tarbert, came up through Harris into Lewis.
I already corrected this several days ago. You must have seen a link with the wrong version. Sorry for the confusion.
