German forum bottling – 65.2%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Bright amber
Nose: Grapes, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, adding some water brings out more fruit and faint cigar box notes.
Palate: Quite spirity enjoyed neat (no wonder at 65.2%), passion fruit, orange, caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, becomes spicier with water.
Finish: Long and fruity.
Overall: A very nice fruity malt that can take (and needs) quite a bit of water. In a way both smooth and spicy at the same time. This forum bottling is a dramatic improvement from previous year’s Glen Spey.
