Bourbon Barrel – 44.9%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Bright gold
Nose: Mixed tropical fruit, polished wood.
Palate: Pineapple, banana, vanilla, soap – like a fruit cocktail in a badly rinsed bowl.
Finish: Long, fruity and a bit soapy.
Overall: The marvelous nose makes lots of promises but there is a subliminal soapiness on the palate that destroys all hopes of getting to enjoy a fine aged Campbeltown malt. Just about drinkable but not more.
Rating: 72/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
