English peated single malt spirit – 18 months – 46%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Very very pale straw
Nose: Only faint porridge first, later unfolding into a mix of citrus fruit and a whiff of burnt down fireplace.
Palate: Mild peat, orange zest, lemon, aromatic spices.
Finish: Long, fruity with a little dry peat.
Overall: I find this not-yet-whisky amazingly good for only 18 months in the cask. It already has a surprising complexity.
Rating: 81/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
