Single Malt from Canada – 57.2%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Bright amber
Nose: Caramel, honey, raisins, a little banana. More intense with a hint of oak after adding water.
Palate: All of the above plus a bouquet of aromatic spices.
Finish: Long, fruity and spicy.
Overall: The unusual maturation in an ice wine barrel results in a gorgeous whisky that does not have to hide behind its cousins from Scotland. With malts like that, this Canadian distillery can proudly bear the Glen in its name!
Rating: 86/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
