Laphroaig Cairdeas Feis Ile 2010

by Oliver Klimek on August 11, 2010

Vatting of 11 to 19 yo casks – 57.3%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Bright gold
Nose: Spicy smoke, bacon and seaweed, a hint of citrus fruit.
Palate: Sweet peat, salt, cloves, adding water unveils mixed citrus fruit and pepper.
Finish: Very long and peaty with a salty tail.
Overall: Not as medicinal as the reular expressions in favour of a nice citrus fruitiness. The 2010 Cairdeas is a bit unusual but very enjoyable nonetheless.

Rating: 87/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

Can anyone please tell me how this 2010 Cairdeas compares to the 2015? I can’t find any 2016 in the US, and the 2014 is sold out, so I didn’t get to try those either.
When will the 2017 come out, do you think?
