My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Pale straw
Nose: Very intense, smoked ham, iodine, seaweed, cloves.
Palate: Strong peat, honey, lemon, cloves, a hint of licourice.
Finish: Very long, sweet and peaty.
Overall: Even though it has no age statement, the Caol Ila CS is a significant step up in quality from the regular 12 yo. Very complex with a slight sweetness that works very well together with the peat.
Rating: 86/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
