Woodford Reserve

by Oliver Klimek on April 26, 2010

Kentucky Straight Bourbon – 43%

My Tasting Notes:

Color: Rich amber
Nose: Pineapple, peach, vanilla, a hint of leather and cigar box
Palate: Rather dry, not quite as fruity as the nose, cloves, nutmeg.
Finish: Long, dry and spicy
Overall: A richly flavoured bourbon with a fruity nose and a spicy palate. A very good value whiskey.

Score: 84/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

I Was going to buy this but if WR is “dry” I’ll have to skip. I Cant handle it.
Also E Craig 12 you meantion “creamy mouthfeel”.
Its too woody for me to get it creamy or buttery in my mouth (which I love).
Unsure what bourbon to get at about that price range.
