The peated single malt from Cooley – 40%
My Tasting Notes:
Color: Gold
Nose: Smoke, pears, citrus fruit, porridge, a bit of honey.
Palate: Peat, malt, lemon, nuts, slightly spicy.
Finish: Long, peaty fruit.
Overall: Gentle peat combined with a fruity freshness that is very enjoyable. A malt with a quite unique character, but somewhat similar to the Croftengea from Loch Lomond, only more gentle and rounded.
Score: 83/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
