It reminds a little of whisky for just a few seconds, then you are left with a generic ethanol aftertaste. Use it as flavoured vodka to beef up your long drinks. Avoid drinking it neat. – Score: 30/100

This whisky has a “million dollar nose” suggesting a very rich sherry bomb. But the palate does not quite meet the expectations raised by the nose as it lacks complexity. – Score: 83/100

Very rich in many different flavours, not a peat-in-your-face malt. Suprisingly smooth, maybe a even bit too much. I think it would deserve a bit more punch. – Score: 85/100

The Famous Grouse Port Wood

The nose is quite interesting and promising, but the nice taste on the palate only keeps up for a few seconds before turning into boring grainyness. Better than the standard Grouse, but not enough to make me want to buy a bottle. – Score: 62/100

Gentle peat combined with a fruity freshness that is very enjoyable. A malt with a quite unique character, but somewhat similar to the Croftengea from Loch Lomond, only more gentle and rounded. – Score: 83/100
