Cardhu 12 yo, late 1970s bottling

by Oliver Klimek on March 19, 2010

75 cl bottle – 43%

My Tasting Notes:

Color: Bright gold
Nose: Quite fresh, malt, vanilla, just minimally fruity
Palate: Slightly spicy and a bit waxy with a strange herbal component
Finish: Medium long, dry and herbal
Overall: A rather light-bodied malt, the herbal note is really quite strange and frankly a bit off-putting for me.

Score: 73/100No price/value information as this is a collector’s bottle
