Single Grain Whisky – 50.3%
My Tasting Notes:
Color: Gold
Nose: Honey, citrus fruit, peaches, a little vanilla, takes a few minutes to fully develop
Palate: Peaches, apricots, vanilla. Smooth and creamy
Finish: Very long and fruity
Overall: After 29 years, the grain has lost all of its roughness and metamorphosed into a delightful and rich fruity dram. Just marvellous.
Score: 92/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
Side Note: The peach notes seem to be a grain trademark because they can also be found in many Irish potstill whiskeys where grain and malt is distilled together.
