The Scotch whisky market is dominated by blended whisky with a market share of roughly 90%. But most whisky magazines and websites focus mainly on single malt. And this site is no exception. Currently, I have rated over 130 Scotch whiskies, and only 4 of them are blends.
I would be very interested in your position on blends. Do you avoid them like the devil avoids holy water? Or do you actually like blended whisky?

I’m not afraid to order a JW Black at a bar (or drink it at home from time to time). It’s quite nice, actually. I also enjoy my Black Bottle 10 year. Finally, I find Teachers drinkable, and it’s quite young.
As to my own opinion about blends: I haven’t found a single NAS Scotch blend yet that I liked. I do like the JW Black as well and also was quite pleased with the Whyte & Mackay 19yo.

For the most part I do avoid blends, mostly because my whisky drinking time is limited and I prefer to spend my time and money drinking single malts. That said, I have enjoyed a few blends and have a few in my cabinet. Chivas – The Century Of Malts is an outstanding blend of a hundred single malts. You’d think it would have been a muddled mess, but it was expertly blended and is delicious. I only have one bottle left of this special, long out of production bottling. When I travel you might find me ordering a dram of Black Bottle, or a Japanese blend when I can find them.
Forget about the Johnny Walker’s –all of them are crap to me, with the green label being the only respectable exception.
