An unusual vintage bottling – 58%
My Tasting Notes
Nose: Very smoky, camp fire, smoked bacon, a slight fruitiness is noticable
Palate: Strong peat, some pepper, a bit sweet, with water citrus notes emerge.
Finish: Long and smoky.
Overall: A great young peat monster that doesn’t have to hide behind its cousins from Islay.
Score: 91/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

is this the XU boutique bottling?
I guess this is from the same orinigal spirit, but the boutique botting was re-casked in 2006 according to http://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/feature/Isle_of_Jura_Boutique_Barrels.aspx
any way it’s very good. one of the best Juras i ever had. lovely stuff.
reviewed it myself, and found it to be the best of all boutique barrels. so called.
