My Tasting Notes

Nose: Not very strong, slightly floral, ripe fruit, just a tiny whisp of smoke
Palate: Rather spicy, almost chili hot, forest berries, some chocolate, very little peat
Finish: Long and fruity, the spiciness is gone fast
Overall: Complex with a strong wood influence, A bit too spicy for my taste.

Score: 79/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

A bit spicy eh? 🙂 This is one of the best whisky’s in the world. I would also recommend the Madeira Wood. (That is the one I bought at the distillery) IT’s amazing and definitely my favourite. Definitely top 3 in the world. RIght up there with HIghland Park but more complex.

Out of 100 ..

Springbank 10 – I would score as a 90.
Springbank 15 – I would score as an 88.
Madeira Wood – I would score as a 95.

Everone should put down their Glenfiddichs and dink the best! Its at Springbank.

Jonny: I agree with you on this. This is a fantastic and splendid malt, one of my favorites. I’d easily rate it 90/91 points. Oliver is way off on this one.
