Lagavulin 12 yo FOCM bottling 1995

by Oliver Klimek on July 28, 2009

Special realase for the Friends of the Classic Malts – 48%

My Tasting Notes

Nose: Intense, the classic Lagavulin nose with smoked bacon and sherry
Palate: More peaty than you would expect from the nose. Strong sherry, needs some time in the glass, then it gets more complex
Finish: Rather sweet at the beginning and smoky at the end.
Overall: More sherry than the standard 16yo that is not quite reached

Score: 85/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
